PhD position : the adaptation and tolerance to heat in the ant Cataglyphis velox

A 3 year PhD fellowship is available at the IRBI (Tours University, France), starting in September 2014 to work on the adaptation and tolerance to heat in the ant Cataglyphis velox.

Field work will be conducted in Sierra Nevada (Southern Spain) and a good knowledge of spanish is expected. Laboratory analyses will be conducted at the IRBI. Experience in molecular ecology and/or physiological ecology will be welcome.
